The TMCCC is the largest club against club racing series in the country. It was founded by a group of muscle car owners that liked to race their cars but didn't want to race in a weekly bracket series. Soon after the first few events, more clubs in the area started showing interest and before you knew it, the series had grown into 9 -10 event covering much of north Texas and Oklahoma. With car counts exceeding 150 at many of the races, we have proven that muscle cars are here to stay.
Every club races for points to see who are the true champions in the muscle car world and a driver reward program tracks individual drivers' points to see who is the best in each class. Each year there is a rewards banquet where the top clubs and drivers are honored and presented with trophies, prizes and cash, proving that we give back to the racers. The overall points champion also receives free entry to all of the next years races and the runner-up receives entry into half of the races.
Please do your part and get registered prior to the first race. We want to minimize the amount of people at the registration table at the first two races.
Fellow racers, it would be to your advantage to pre-register for the 2023 racing season. This will help us post points in a timely manner and prove helpful to our volunteers. Please fill out the application form found on the “Drivers Reward” page and mail to Tresea O'Neill along with applicable fees. Visit the "Driver Reward" tab for more information. Thanks for your assistance.
Howdy Racers! I am excited to be leading this awesome organization for the next 2 years. I know I have some big shoes to fill, the previous Presidents have really helped TMCCC grow and have welcomed several new racers. I look forward to continuing their traditions and helping this program thrive!
2022 was a good year for TMCCC, we managed to get in a full 10 races and had more than 1300 tech cards submitted. We struggled to find tracks to host us with uncooperative weather and facility closings, but Past President, Bill Boon, made it happen! I want to take a few words here to pass on a huge “Thank You” to all of our Past Presidents who have helped mentor me and to help keep TMCCC going. I want to thank Bill Boon for trusting me to take over this year and for all his help working with the tracks. Jorge Suris (Past President) was also a huge role model for me, and he really showed me the inner workings of TMCCC when I took over as Secretary many years ago. Unfortunately, we lost Jorge at the end of the ’22 season. He will be greatly missed by his family, his friends, his teammates, and everyone who had the pleasure of racing with him.
I would like to introduce everyone to the 2023 Board; TBD as Vice President and taking over in 2025. Michael Bearce is continuing as Treasurer, Tresea O’Neill is continuing as Secretary, and Martha Kaus will be continuing as our Points guru. Thank you for all the extra effort yall put into keep this series running!
New for this year will be random safety checks. Board members will be at the Start line checking for safety equipment. You are expected to run the NHRA required safety equipment based on your ET. We will also be checking that every racer is wearing a shirt with sleeves, long pants, closed toe shoes and seat belts. We will issue a verbal warning for the 1st violation and 2nd violation you will be disqualified for the day. If you continue to violate safety rules you will be disqualified from points for the year. We want every racer to be able to have a great day racing and be able to return home in the same condition they arrived in. Please help us continue racing at our host tracks by following the rules.
We have 12 races scheduled for 2023 and a few changes that will be covered in depth on the Rules page. A brief overview of these changes; the old Outlaw class has been broken into 2 new classes divided by ET, called Competition Muscle and Modified Muscle. This brings us to 8 total classes; Electronics class will continue this year. Additionally, we have adjusted the ET breaks for the classes in an effort to even out car counts between classes. We have also changed the name of Street Muscle to Stock Muscle and the name of Super Muscle to Street Muscle to help with confusion over the Super Pro Muscle class. Finally, we have decided to reinforce the way clubs and racers park in the pits. For 2023, racers will be able to save one spot per car when they arrive. Board members will be in the pits checking this before races, if we see more spaces saved than allowed by the number of your club’s cars onsite, we will be removing your cones. Please be courteous to each other!
If you have questions or comments on the changes, please reach out to your club representative or a Board member. I can’t wait to see everyone back at the track in March!! Thank you for supporting and being a part of TMCCC!!!
